Social Media Code of Conduct
CAAM is committed to fostering informed, respectful conversations about African American art, history, and culture. As part of that commitment, all are welcome and encouraged to engage with the Museum on social media on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The Museum’s social media presence is a valuable way for us to connect with visitors and the community on a range of topics, including the Museum’s collection, exhibitions, public programs, African American and California history, relevant news, and more. It also allows our visitors and community to connect with one another around the Museum and its values.
We love hearing from you on social media and, to ensure that everyone has a positive experience we ask that posts, comments, and replies on Museum channels be respectful and suitable for all ages. Keep in mind that the views expressed by our fans and followers are their own and may not represent the views of CAAM, its board, or employees. We reserve the right to delete any content we deem inappropriate and to block users who post such content, including:
- Violent, obscene, hateful, disrespectful, accusatory, or discriminatory posts, links, or images
