Who can use CAAM's Research Library?
Once the Research Library reopens, it will be available for use by everyone, including students, researchers, teachers, curators, historians, and rare book enthusiasts.
How does your Research Library differ from a university's library?
Like a university’s library, CAAM’s Research Library is considered a “special library.” This means we have a commitment and a mission-specific focus to collect material that supports the history, art, literature, and culture of the African American experience.
Can you check books out?
Unfortunately, no. CAAM’s Research Library does not circulate its holdings.
Can you photocopy? How much does it cost?
Yes, when the Library reopens you may photocopy. It is free, but we encourage donations.
Can I get in-person research assistance?
