Loan Requests

CAAM loans objects from its collection to nonprofit museums, institutions, galleries, and other qualified borrowers for public enrichment and education purposes. If you are interested in making a loan request, please read through the following information:

• We accept both short-term and long-term loans, depending on the borrower. We do not accept indefinite or permanent loans. All loans from CAAM’s permanent collection are made at the discretion of the appropriate curator, with final approval from the director. Loans are never made for personal use or for commercial purposes.
• All loan requests must be made 6 months in advance. CAAM charges a fee per object loaned.
• The borrower is responsible for shipping and packaging, which usually includes packing, fine arts shipping, and insurance and courier expenses, if necessary.
• Any conservation or framing will be done at CAAM’s discretion and at the borrower’s expense. Borrowers must agree to these expenses before the loan can be fully approved.
• Please be aware that CAAM requests facilities reports for any venue looking to house works from our collection. These reports must be presented to CAAM for review before the loan can be fully approved.
