Visitor Information
Welcome!
Like any museum, the care and preservation of the works on display is of upmost importance. Our visitors play a crucial role in that effort.
Look But Don't Touch
The works on display are for viewing! It is very important that our visitors do not touch or handle any of the objects unless otherwise noted.
Food and Drink
Food and drink are not allowed in the gallery, though you are welcome to eat or picnic outside or in the nearby Rose Garden. We do not have a café, but there are numerous restaurants and fast-food spots in the vicinity. See the Exposition Park page on our website for a list.
Photography and Sketching
CAAM welcomes visitors to take non-flash photography and short smartphone videos for personal and non-commercial use only. No long-form videos, tripods, or selfie sticks are allowed without advance written permission. The use of drones in the vicinity or on the Museum property is strictly prohibited.
Sketching in the galleries with pencil is permitted by guests over the age of 12. No ink, paint, or markers are allowed. We love to see your pictures and videos, so please share them with us on Twitter and Instagram!
Large Bag Check
The back check is temporary closed. Large bags and skateboards are not allowed at this time. We can refuse to let other items into our galleries at our discretion.
Cell Phones
As a courtesy to museum-goers, we request that visitors do not make lengthy cell phone calls from inside the galleries. Calls can be made in the atrium or outside the museum.
