Take in a live performance by the renowned Tennessee State University band followed by a talk back with Band Director Reginald McDonald, Coach Melaneice Gibbs, and student leaders who will discuss the history of HBCU bands, their prevalence in popular culture, and what it’s like to be an HBCU student. Closing remarks will be offered by Tennessee State University President Glenda Glover.
