SHIFT/: Art Making and Creative Writing for Teens is a series that draws upon works on view at CAAM to disrupt traditional narratives about gender, ability, and race. With teaching artists from Get Lit—a Los Angeles-based education nonprofit—teens will explore a current exhibition and then consider its themes via the creation of their own works that challenge society’s prevailing notions about them, as well as what they have thought and learned about themselves. Teens 14–18 are invited to come through for one or more of the following sessions. RSVP today; space is limited.
