CAAM’s monthly book club continues this summer with titles related to Ernie Barnes: A Retrospective and the artist’s frequent depiction of musicians and athletes. July’s book is Divided Soul, David Ritz’s biography of Marvin Gaye. In August we will discuss The Heritage by Howard Bryant, which examines the politics surrounding black athletes in America.
