Artist Artis Marie Lane, who created two of the bronze sculptures on view in Aspects of Nude: Selections from the Permanent Collection, discusses her history and creative journey with CAAM curator Mar Hollingsworth. Lane is a sculptor, painter, and printmaker and a descendant of noted abolitionist, educator, and publisher, Mary Ann Shadd Cary.
