To celebrate the closing of Giving you the best that I got, Art + Practice will host an evening of interactive, breakout group dialogues on the topic of Black motherhood. Using the exhibition space as an inspirational platform for deep reflection, this event will be facilitated by Calibrate, a local nonprofit organization that fosters dynamic, experiential, and intergenerational community-centered engagement. Through the practice of Connections, a data-driven, trauma-informed mental health and wellness activity that promotes resiliency skills, healing, unity, and community, Calibrate’s professionally trained team will demonstrate the power of speaking and listening from the heart, holding space for the uniqueness of Black motherhood and honoring the collective wisdom of Black women’s voices.
