Today, numerous artists are striving to create radical social change through their work. Conceived by Black Lives Matter Art + Culture and presented in conjunction with the exhibition We Wanted a Revolution: Black Radical Women, 1965–85, this TED Talk-style program aims to inspire and encourage makers to continue this practice. Artists from varied disciplines including Shamell Bell, Staceyann Chin, Lynnée Denise, Emory Douglas, Maren Hassinger (pictured), Miss Prissy, and author Walter Mosley share how they use their artistic practice to engage political or social concepts and challenge the establishment.
